Learning Maths Through Exchange Rates & Foreign Currency

Since Unschooling I am always surprised at how much can be learnt by just getting out there and living.  We have travelled around Europe, Japan and recently returned from New York.  There is no need to have a Maths lesson on currency and exchange rates because the kids learn by using the local currency and understanding how it relates to our own currency.  In an Unschooling way we noticed how to use of Dollars led to all kinds of conversations about the Economy, Recession, Quantum Easing and many other topics.
